Best Hen Do Destinations in the UK (41 Locations)
When you’re planning a hen weekend, staying in the UK is usually the easiest option. From the 55,000+ hen weekends we've organised since 2007, around 75% choose UK destinations because budgets stay sensible, nobody needs to sort passports, and you skip the group chat chaos that comes with flights. Liverpool has held the top spot in both 2024 and 2025, with London very close behind. Brighton and Manchester also rank consistently high across both years.
Across 2024 and 2025 we’ve seen Bath, York and Cardiff grow steadily for groups who want something relaxed but still full of character. Birmingham, Newcastle and Edinburgh regularly appear in our top ten, especially for hens who want good nightlife without London prices.
With 41 UK hen locations, you’ve got real flexibility. Northern favourites like Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle offer strong value on accommodation and nights out, while places like Brighton, Bath and Edinburgh suit groups who want something pretty with plenty going on. Most UK cities offer lots of choice for brunch, spas and activities that are easy to shape around your weekend plans. If the weather turns, it’s simple to switch to indoor options and carry on. No airport faff, no delays, no last minute travel stress. Just a straightforward weekend that still feels special.
"Went to a life drawing class on a hen do in Liverpool. Had such a laugh! Was a bit apprehensive going in, but the model was funny and entertained us all. Would recommend."

Best Hen Party Destinations in Europe (28 Locations Abroad)
If your bride wants sunshine, beach clubs and that “we’re actually away” feeling, Europe is where most groups turn. Around 25% of our hen groups head abroad, and Dublin has been the most booked European destination in both 2024 and 2025. It’s under 90 minutes from many UK airports and offers brilliant nights out without long distance travel. Benidorm and Barcelona complete the top three across both years, especially for brides who want warm evenings, pool days and a full holiday atmosphere.
Amsterdam and Lisbon continue to sit just behind the top spots, with canal cruises, rooftop drinks and picture perfect streets that hens love. Further into the top ten, Albufeira, Marbella, Madrid and Budapest have all grown strongly for 2025 groups. Spain stands out. A significant share of our European bookings go to Spanish destinations like Barcelona, Marbella and Benidorm because they combine sunshine, good value and lively nightlife.
Once you arrive, many European cities often work out cheaper overall than central UK destinations. Cocktails that might cost more in London or Brighton can be noticeably lower abroad, and beach clubs or rooftop bars become part of the experience rather than a big extra. European hens do involve more planning. You’re dealing with flights, passports and earlier deposits, but the payoff is sunshine, rooftop views and a proper “girls’ trip” energy your bride will love.
"Planning a hen party in Benidorm couldn’t have been easier! Thank you so much to Eleanor for answering my many questions and making the whole process so simple!"

UK vs Europe Hen Parties: Which Is Right for Your Group?
Most hen groups come back to this question, and there isn’t a wrong answer. Our booking trends show a clear pattern. Around 75% stay in the UK, while 25% choose Europe for guaranteed sunshine and that holiday feeling.
UK destinations work especially well when your group is spread across the country. Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol make it easy for everyone to meet without flights. Another common reason groups stay in the UK is family attendance. Many brides want mums, aunties or older relatives to join the weekend, and staying in the UK keeps it simple and comfortable for everyone. You also get more flexibility with budgets, as you can scale accommodation and activities without locking into flight costs.
Europe is the stronger choice if the bride wants warm weather, rooftop bars, beach clubs or just something that feels more like a proper getaway. Barcelona, Benidorm, Lisbon and Amsterdam top our European bookings for 2024 to 2025, while Dublin stays popular for those who want a short flight and big nights out. Once you’re there, cities like Budapest or Lisbon can work out cheaper than some UK city weekends, especially for drinks and meals.
In the end, the decision usually comes down to budget, travel faff and the bride’s personality. If she wants fun without hassle, the UK is an easy win. If she’s set on sunshine and something a bit bigger, Europe is worth the extra planning.
How to Choose the Best Hen Do Location (Expert 5-Step Guide)
After planning tens of thousands of hen weekends, we see the same patterns come up every year. These five steps make the decision far easier than scrolling through endless ideas or debating in the group chat.
1. Start with the real budget
Not the “I can stretch if I have to” amount, the realistic number. Most UK hens come in around £150 to £250 per person including accommodation and popular hen activities. European destinations like Barcelona, Lisbon or Amsterdam typically need £300 to £450 per person once flights and the core package are included.
2. Check where everyone lives
If your friends are spread across the UK, cities like Manchester, Birmingham or Liverpool are good central meeting points. If most of you are based in the south, Brighton or London might be easier. For Europe, make sure the available airports and flight times work for everyone.
3. Ask your bride what she truly wants
Some brides love the idea of sunshine but might actually enjoy cocktails, spas and a slower pace in Bath, York or Edinburgh. Others have always wanted Barcelona, Lisbon or Benidorm and won’t feel as excited by a UK city. A short, honest chat about what she’s picturing usually settles it.
4. Consider your group dynamic
Mixed age groups with mums or older relatives often suit Bath, York, Edinburgh or Lisbon, with relaxed daytime plans and good restaurants. Younger party-focused groups tend to prefer Liverpool, Newcastle, Benidorm or Prague for the nightlife.
5. Match the date to the destination
Planning in the next month or two? Stick to the UK. European hen weekends work best when you have at least three to five months to organise flights, decent accommodation and sensible travel times.
Once you know the budget, vibe, group mix and timing, the right destination usually becomes clear. If you’re still choosing between a couple of places, our team can point you towards what’s working best for similar groups right now.

The groups that enjoy their weekend the most are the ones who stop trying to please absolutely everyone and pick a destination that suits the bride and the budget. Once that’s decided, everything else falls into place.
