After the Grade II listed building The Guildhall was made redundant, a Chester-based couple had a light-bulb moment and turned the space into a bar! This luxurious bar/nightclub has kept its original stained-glass windows and stone arches merged together with modern décor and cosy booths.

3. Liquor & Co
Sleek and sophisticated, Red Door has made a name for itself as one of the best bar/club hybrids as it’s open until late on the weekends. Although it’s small, this venue is mighty when it comes to music and cocktails.
They have a rotating cocktail of the month and live DJ sets to keep you dancing on their dedicated dancefloor. On top of that, there’s a photobooth inside and the bartenders behind the bar really know their stuff. This is the perfect Chester nightlife hotspot if you appreciate the finer things in life.

4. The Church
The Church Chester is one of the larger venues when it comes to late bars / nightclubs in Chester and includes a dancefloor, booths, seating for food, outdoor terrace and an original Church organ.
All of this mixed together makes for a unique and memorable night out if you’re visiting this little city. You can often find live bands playing on the weekends and they serve fantastic cocktails from the huge bar in the middle of the room.
