Places to Eat in Tenerife

Places to Eat in Tenerife

As with any Spanish country, the food and drink is always there to impress. This culture has hangover foods down, and if you want a chilled night of tapas then get yourself down to Costa Adeje and find the hidden treasures within the cobbled streets. We highly suggest Restaurante Sebastian for all your tapas dreams (the seafood is at hit), plus you can get your daily dose of beer and footy just across the road at a variety of pub and sports bars – best of both worlds or what? Another top tapas joint in this area of Tenerife is the small but epic El Makami, which oozes a laid-back atmosphere with high quality eats to line your stomachs.

Let’s be honest, if you’re planning a stag do in Tenerife you’ll most likely spend a lot of time in Playa de las Americas. This town is where all the best nightlife is, but there’s also a bunch of restaurants to fill your boots. If you want a taste of home, why not tuck into a big juicy steak at Empire Modern British Restaurant and Steak House. This specialise in classically British dinners, but their cuts of meat are out of this world. If you want the most food for the smallest budget, leave feeling full at The Burger Café in Paseo Guadalajara street.

When it comes to drinks, the Spanish don’t disappoint. Home to the crisp and delicious super bock beer, this renowned brand sells for under 2 euros wherever you go so you won’t need to save your pennies! Choosing a Spanish country means you can’t go wrong when it comes to food and drink, leaving one less thing to worry about for you and the lads on your epic Tenerife stag do.

Guide to Tenerife Nightlife for Stag Weekends

Tenerife is an extra special place to have your party and will help you create memories for a lifetime with your pals. Playa De Las Americas is where the big boys are, with a long nightlife strip that is a challenge to tackle even half in one night. However, you might need a quick run down of some of the best places for a stag night out before you arrive – because there’s loads of venues!

Playa de las Americas

The be all and end all to nightlife in Tenerife, we guarantee that you’ll spend at least one night of the weekend in Play de las Americas. The strip, known as ‘Veronicas Strip’ seems to be hand-crafted with big groups of party-goers in mind. If you can get from one end of this strip to the other in one night, you deserve a medal! There’s promoters pulling you in, bright lights and super cheap alcohol to create one epic last night of freedom. On one end of the strip you have the holy trinity of a classic night out – Yates, Linekers and the iconic Tramps nightclub. Known as the king of the clubs, you’ll be looked after in this popular venue that’s open all week until the early hours.

As you make your way down the strip you’ll be shocked by the amount of bars and clubs on offer on this little Cannery island. For bars, there’s plenty to choose from depending on what you like – although most are lively and loud so prepare yourself! Coco Beach is on the more chilled out side of nightlife, but still packs a punch. It’s a great place to start your celebrations before moving on to somewhere like the classic Branigans Irish Pub! This longstanding Irish tavern is always popular with parties visiting Tenerife, and you could enjoy a full night here as it’s open until 3am.

The strip acts as a hub of nightlife altogether, but there’s a few bars that might stand out from the crowd for two things – cheap drinks and booming music. The Sound of Cream is a great shout to get a few drinks under your belts. Likewise, Jumping Jacks is awesome for drink deals and chart music from 8pm until it starts getting light outside.

La Laguna

On the opposite end of the island to Playa de las Americas on the North East tip you’ll find La Laguna. The nightlife here is, for the most part, a lot more relaxed than the former area mentioned. Don’t get it wrong, you’ll still find plenty of atmosphere, vibrant bars and strong drinks to toast to the groom to be! The main hub of bars and pubs can be found down Calle Dr. Antonio Gonzalez, and that’s where you’ll find Pub La Orchila. This cheeky little microbrewery is the perfect place for locally brewed beers, friendly locals and even a little dance floor if you want to throw some shapes.

Just down the road from Pub La Orchila you’ll find Strasse La Laguna bar, officially known as a piano bar! However, you won’t find jazz music and chilled vibes here. Strasse is home to shisha and pub quizzes, plus tasty drinks for low prices so you can keep them coming all night long. If you’re a group of guys that prefer a pub vibe, La Laguna is littered with tavernas to take your pick. Two of notable mention are Pub Dark Light and Pub Haring, both extremely popular with locals but still warm, friendly and inviting for groups like yourselves.

La Laguna isn’t all taverns and pubs lads! If you want to dance until the early hours of the morning there’s a couple of clubs to dip your feet into as well. Probably the most popular for tourists in the area is Buho Club. This venue is technically a bar size with a club appearance, and also hosts live music all year round to accompany your celebrations.

Beach Clubs in Tenerife

If you’re going to an island in Spain, it’s likely you’ll find yourself drawn to the beach! Why not combine your nightlife experiences with the sandy beaches of Tenerife? Focusing on the bustling region of Playa de las Americas, there’s numerous beach clubs that line the coast to consider. From chilled and sophisticated to all-out party venues and everything in between, make sure you check out a few before settling on your favourite.

We couldn’t write a nightlife section without mentioning the infamous Papagayo Beach Club located at the end of the strip. This modern club oozes class and sophistication but has a different side to it after dark. Lounger around on the beach beds, day chairs or exclusive day pots upstairs by day, and watch Papagayo come alive at night and turn into the hottest nightclub on the strip! For something outside your normal rings, might we suggest you check out the monster Monkey beach club at night? On every single Sunday in the summer each year, this ever-popular club comes alive with DJ sets and events that will make your stag weekend one to remember.

What Are the Reasons to Visit Tenerife?

What Are the Reasons to Visit Tenerife?

If you like the sun but hate the sticky, humid heat that comes with it – Tenerife is perfect. They call the climate “the eternal Spring” because of it’s 17 degree lows and 25 degree highs most of the year.

Mount Teide

This once erupted volcano is still active, but safe for you to scale and explore with both guided tours and all by yourself. Maybe good for a hangover cure lads?

Water Parks

Although it’s a small island, Tenerife has some of the best water parks in Europe – Siam Water Park being a top contender.

Through the helping hand of imported Sahara sand, you can find some amazing white-sand beaches around the island, with Playa del Duque as one of the most popular.

Exciting Stag Do Activities

If you’ve already looked into a Tenerife stag do, we don’t need to tell you about the awesome, exhilarating, once in a lifetime activities you can enjoy while you’re here.

Culture Clash

Tenerife is the perfect balance between the British perks of Benidorm and the rich culture of Madrid, combining both for the ultimate last night of freedom.

How to Get the Most Out of Your Stag Weekend in Tenerife?

How to Get the Most Out of Your Stag Weekend in Tenerife?

One of the elements of Tenerife that keeps people coming back is the ease of the island. Depending on what town you go to, everything is squeezed together so even if you’re on a short trip you can really get the most out of your stag weekend in Tenerife. Aside from visiting water parks and smashing the nightlife, you can find unforgettable experiences in the food you eat and the place you stay. As mentioned, accommodation in Tenerife is very reasonable – and this is mainly referring to jaw-dropping villas close to the mountains. These villas offer incredible views, pools, your own space to party and all amenities for half the price of other island and locations in Europe.

If you’re staying on the North or West coast, a must-visit is one of Tenerife’s unique black sand beaches. Obviously, your pictures will be out of this world, but beaches like Playa de las Arenas and Playa Jardin often have a more-laid back atmosphere. Plus, the black sand retains heat much better so your feet will be warm as you run back and forth from the chilly sea water!

How to Get Around Tenerife

How to Get Around Tenerife

Tenerife is a stag parties dream, and one of the main reasons is easy transport around the island. For one, you can literally drive from one end of the island to the other in approximately an hour. This means you can see all the Cannery island has to offer in under a day if you wanted to! Hiring a car is cheap and easy to do from the airport, so if you’re wanting to explore the more rural parts of Tenerife then we suggest you grab a car for your travels. If you’re not up for driving, not to worry. Taxi’s dart around for next to nothing all the time, including late into the night to take you safely from the strip back to your accommodation! Because the taxis are so cheap (especially between a group), we suggest you use them and walking as your main modes of transport, as the buses in Tenerife aren’t as reliable.
