Whether you’re a Southampton native or just visiting for the weekend, the obvious choice for nightlife is to head to the centre, and it doesn’t disappoint! You could have a whole stag night in the city centre, with a mix of traditional pubs and late-night bars to keep you tipsy until the early hours of the morning.

Here, you’ll discover plenty of craft beers to tickle your taste buds as well as vast range of ciders and spirits all surrounded by a cool, chilled out vibe. However, if you’re looking for something a bit more upbeat, then head on over to Oasis Bar, a cool hangout with party-hard vibes. If cocktails are your kind of thing, 1932, Bring & Mix and Revolution are all great choices.

Something a little different to consider is the 70’s themed bar called the Orange Rooms which makes you feel like you’re living it up on a sunny Spanish island or somewhere tropical along those lines. Expect plenty of fruit treats and a groovy décor.

Around Southampton’s Port and Ocean Village are several bars of interest. Not only are the venue options welcoming, they’re blessed with stunning sea views. Reminiscent of Spanish holidays, you’ll feel full of energy here. There’s the Medbar and CoCo Bar & Lounge for cocktails and the Stein Garten which is a bit more inland but is a beautifully authentic Bavarian beerhall if that’s more your style.
