Why Clay Pigeon Shooting Works for Stag Groups
Clay pigeon shooting gives the stag party something they won't get to do on a normal weekend: firing a real shotgun under proper supervision. An instructor talks everyone through grip, stance and technique before the first clay goes up, so no previous experience is needed. Once someone lands their first hit it tends to become addictive, and the friendly competition between rounds makes for plenty of banter about who's the sharpest shot. Set on a rural range away from the city, it also gives the lads a few hours outdoors and a change of scene from the rest of the weekend.
What Happens on a Clay Pigeon Shooting Stag Do
On arrival, an instructor runs through safety and handling before showing everyone how to hold and aim a shotgun. Clays are launched at different heights and speeds, testing how well each person can track and hit a moving target. Everyone takes a turn stepping into the trap, with one-to-one coaching on hand throughout to help improve aim as the session goes on. The session usually runs for one to two hours, with all equipment and ammunition provided, so the stag party just needs to turn up in comfortable outdoor clothing ready to shoot.
Where Does a Clay Pigeon Shooting Stag Do Take Place?
Clay pigeon shooting takes place at rural ranges just outside the city, giving the lads a proper outdoor setting away from the usual high street activities. It's available in Chester and Bristol, both handy bases with plenty to do once the shooting's done, as well as Birmingham, Edinburgh, Newcastle and York, plus many more UK locations. For stag parties heading to Europe, clay pigeon shooting is also available in Budapest and Riga, giving stag parties based abroad the same countryside setting and one-to-one coaching.

The amount of fun we had exceeded the price we paid, by a long way!
Compared to some of the shambles activity days I have been on, this was very professionally run. I think you have done a good job to team up with them.
The shooting was spot on, we all had 25 clays and the people taking the event were prompt, friendly and helpful.
The shooters bar food was fantastic, everyone enjoyed their burgers and the challenge was a big challenge which we were unable to complete but good non the less.
