Portsmouth is a waterfront city and most things are within easy walking distance, including its lively central pubs and bars. There is great outlet shopping at Gunwharf Keys as well of plenty of bars, pubs and restaurants which is a 5 minute train ride from the main central Portsmouth station. Otherwise there are plenty of buses and taxis to take you further afield if you decide.
