If you do fancy venturing out though York station is across the road and all the main shopping streets are a short 10 minute walk away. There’s many original features of the Edwardian building kept throughout such as dark wood doors, stone staircases and huge corridors. The rooms themselves cover all budgets and all come with a great amount of space, but if you want a trip to the spa you’ll have to pay a little more or book yourself into an executive room or above.
3. Dean Court Hotel
Don’t expect peace and quiet at this hotel as you will literally be a stones throw away from the Minster (one of Europe’s greatest medieval cathedrals). It’s by far the best place to stay if you want to go sightseeing, everything is within walking distance!
