How Does the Virtual Pirate's Cove Run?

To kick off the activity, you will receive an informative and motivating introduction from your facilitator on the day. They’ll explain how the event will run as you split into groups of 4-6. By this time, you’ll be ready to embark on your pirate adventure! From challenging puzzles to tricky tasks, you will earn points as you get ever-closer to the treasure at the end! Each squad will elect a Captain to answer questions and unlock tasks, but this activity will require you to work quickly as well as make calculated, group-based decisions in order to succeed. Not only that, but it also gives you the chance to channel your creative side as well, with photo challenges and much more.

Does the Virtual Pirate's Cove include a host?

Yes! On the day, you will have a facilitator to lead and manage the event from start to finish. They will be able to help you with any questions or issues you may have. They will introduce themselves to you and the rest of the participants at the beginning of the event, where they will brief you on how the event will operate and go over some basic rules. They will also explain to you how points can be scored on tasks, bringing you ever-closer to victory.

What do we need to Play the Online Pirate's Cove Clue Hunt?

A stable internet connection, a laptop or desktop computer on which to join the Zoom conference call and either a smartphone or tablet device on which to download the app and join the activity.

  • We can use other platforms like MS Teams but it requires some work from you - read here
  • The game supports most iOS and Android phones or tablets running:
    • iOS version 11.0 and above
    • Android version 4.4 and above
  • Apps can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play
