Warsaw Stag Do, Anyone?
If you’re thinking of Poland for your stag do, why not go big or go home and head to the capital?
Warsaw is a lively city that offers a unique stag party adventure the lads are sure to remember. Warsaw is booming with life throughout the year, but September is the perfect time to visit for a celebration with the lads. Good weather and less tourists means more room for big groups to make a splash in the city and try out everything on offer, if you can fit it all into one stag weekend in Warsaw that is! The food is surprisingly nice, the locals even nicer and everything comes at nearly half the price as the UK – so you’ll be feeling like a king the entire Warsaw stag weekend. Bites & Bevs
Warsaw takes the saying “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” quite literally with its breakfast markets. Before any Warsaw stag activities commence we suggest experiencing these markets. The markets, officially called Zoliborz, are full of stalls serving traditional Polish breakfasts, pastries, English classics and weird and wonderful flavours that are bound to blow your mind and fill your bellies – it’s the best city to cure a hangover! Warsaw likes to show off it’s fine cuisine, so much so that the capital offers a 4-hour Polish Food Tour so you can indulge yourself with all the greats of Polish cuisine and the best spots to chow down.
Specifically, the restaurant F30 is not one to be missed. Talk about colourful, this awesome eatery is covered by a sea of colourful umbrellas to give you a chill vibe to accompany the fantastic food they offer. As for drinks, Poland’s liquor of choice is absinthe, meaning the hard stuff is sold far and wide for cheap as chips – be prepared to have a Warsaw stag weekend you might not remember.
People don’t tend to rant and rave about the Warsaw nightlife, and we find it hard to see why. The inner city is packed with hidden gems for you and the lads to dive into, but one of the most popular nightclubs in the capital is Klubo Kawiarina. This epic venue is renowned in Europe for its friendly staff who are experts at making you feel welcome in your new home away from home. For a night of mystery, opt for Opera nightclub and be surprised by the oriental style and hidden rooms this eclectic nightlife destination has to offer.
Warsaw has the added flare of epic booze and cigar venues that will add a unique twist to your stag night. Places like the highly-rated Bar and Books Podwale offer life music, a totally chilled atmosphere and an array of cigars for you and your friends to try while celebrating your last night of freedom. You know what they say, when in Warsaw! (Right?)
Secretly, Warsaw is built for stag groups, no matter how rowdy. The capital offers a bunch of daytime activities to wet your whistle, including boat parties with VIP rooms and strip shows to give you the true stag do experience from start to finish. If you’d prefer to chill after a long night of drinking, treat your sore heads to a day at Poniatowski Beach. This cheeky little beach is the closest to the city centre for easy access, and coats barbecue racks and hammocks for your relaxation.
The cheap theme runs right through to accommodation in Warsaw, with hostels being the most popular option within the city centre. The capital offers some impressive hostels for you to rest your head in, and staying in the centre means easy access on foot to every point of interest, and a pub or two to keep up your beer intake all weekend long – the first rule of any stag party!
