What to Expect for Your 18th Birthday Party!

You’ve just turned 18, which means you can legally drink. Congratulations! Gone are the days of fake IDs and anWhat to Expect for Your 18th Birthday! unshaven face. Here’s what to expect for your 18th!

Remember, not all your mates are going to be 18, so a big night out to celebrate might be off the table for at a little while. There’s nothing stopping you from throwing a house party instead.

If you are going out, you may be having your first experience with nightclubs. Nightclubs can be a lot of fun but you do need to be careful. It can be very easy to nick a phone, wallet or purse and slip away unseen on a crowded, smoky dance floor. Try not to get too drunk while on a night out. If you’re completely wasted, you’ll be a danger to yourself and a liability to others, so go steady. Not to mention you might get chucked out the club! As long as you’re careful and take it easy, you’re sure to have a fun filled night of drinking and dancing.

Expect to take a trip into the wonderful world of alcohol. Beers, cocktails and shots. Expect beers to grow on you, cocktails to be delicious and shots to be absolutely vile. And if we’re being truthful, expect to vomit. You’re probably not too familiar with drinking yet and it’ll take a little time for your body to adjust. Just make sure you reach the loo in time.

Expect to be craving food as the night draws to a close. Specifically, fast food. Pizza, kebabs, McNuggets etc. You don’t know what it is to be hungry until you’ve had your first night out.

So now you know what to expect on your 18th. If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, there’s tons of birthday party ideas for you to try out on your 18th.
