Palma's Food and Drink

The Palma Hen Party Guide - Food and Drink

As Palma is in Majorca you can expect traditional Mallorcan cuisine during your stay. It is usually based on a lot of pork, fish and vegetables with garlic being a common flavour throughout. And of course you can expect a lot of seafood since you’re on an island. During your Palma hen do you can get in touch with the islands food during the traditional indoor food markets on a Saturday morning, or include them in your evening meals.

Some things to try are Parrillada Depescado which is a mixed grill and seafood platter loved by the locals, Tumbet which is a baked dish of layered potato, courgette, aubergine and tomato sauce, Arros Brut, a traditional rice dish with vegetables and meat. And if all else fails, Majorca loves a good suckling pig!

Explore the City

In between all the hen do activities in Palma you will notice that this city is a great place to explore with the girls. And the best thing about it is that is easy to venture about by car or public transport so nowhere is too far away! And if you’re heading to Palma before Christmas you’re in for a treat as there are huge food & wine festivals for you to explore. And if you’re heading over in the summer then don’t worry as you still have the whole city you can explore.

ABTA bonded (Don't book with anyone without it)

First thing you should head over to is Palma’s stunning Cathedral, it’s one of the most iconic landmarks and you honestly can’t miss it. With gorgeous stained-glass windows throughout the building, it will be the perfect photo opportunity. Or perhaps dust off your credit card and head out for a sophisticated spot of shopping through the bustling streets of Jaume III and Sant Miquel – the list of shops here is never ending and will be a great way to kill time in between your Palma hen party ideas!
