Bites & Bevs
Bulgarian food is rich in flavours, variation and colour, the cuisine is strongly influenced by the middle east but has adapted its own charisma, perfect for your stag party in Sofia. Famous for its quality vegetable and dairy products and variety of spices, with chicken and pork being the most common forms of meat, although seafood and fish dishes are all very popular and in Bulgaria lamb has a special traditional part in Bulgarian cooking. One dish to try is the cities internationally-renowned salad called shopska salata. This salad is a simple but effective tomato, cucumber, onion and pepper combo with cheese and parsley. Nightlife in Sofia

You can find the largest concentration of bars near Vitosha Blvd and around the University. There’s an enormous choice of nightclubs, Yalta and Chervilo are the best for house and electronic music, LaRocca is good for retro music and Alcohol and Backstage is good for you stags who love rock. A typical night out in Sofia usually starts with going for something to eat, then going to a bar for a drink or two, at midnight venture out to your nightclub of choice. Sofia loves to celebrate and one thing this city does well is Sofia Pride than takes place every June and has done since 2008. In 2017 more than 2000 people came to celebrate being in favour of equal rights for all! Take a trip down to Vitosha Boulevard and admire the kilometre-long pedestrianised street that offers you panoramic view of all the gorgeous scenery. If you want a taste of the Bulgarian culture head down to the National Palace of Culture, in the day its gorgeous to walk around and explore the surrounding parks and look over at the Palace gardens. And by night underneath the building comes alive with top DJ’s and bands.
Sofia is one of the cheapest destinations among all of the Eastern European destinations. The country still uses leva as their official currency making the beer prices cheap as chips averaging to around £1.50 for a pint, and to wake your stag party in Sofia up, a vodka shot will only set you back £2!
