Luckily for you Germany and specifically Frankfurt is known for its delicious food. So make sure you look out for some of these delicious dishes. First up a classic, the Frankfurter Würstchen. The pork sausages are comparatively long and cooked in boiling water for a few minutes before served with a slice of white bread and mustard and horseradish.
If you are after a local drink then why not try Äppelwoi, it is their take on cider. The taste is usually a lot tarter and sour compared to what you may be used to from the UK, but it’s refreshing once you’re used to it. And for a dessert look out for the Frankfurter Kranz, it is a ring shaped cake with three layers along with buttercream icing and strawberry or cherry jam.
Best Nightlife in Frankfurt
Frankfurt’s nightlife is everything you could ever imagine for your stag do. And it is far from dull, it is mainly known for being home to over 40 000 students which as you can imagine means every night is a party night. If you head over to the area of Bockenheim you will feel the student presence for sure as this area surrounds the university as well as lots of bars and cafes to explore in the evening.
But if you head closer to the centre during your Frankfurt stag do you will find the Saltzhaus which is a little bit more upmarket compared to the student area which is great if you want to start the night with a sophisticated drink. Or head over to the Kaiserstrasse and the Hauptbahnhof area, which has more of an edgy vibe due to its status as being the Red Light District. And that is an experience we are sure you and the lads will enjoy.
The great thing about Frankfurt during your weekend is that there are so many annual events that happen each month you will be bound to have something interesting to get involved with to really get a feel for the culture! From jazz festivals to summer in the city your Frankfurt stag do will be full of exciting opportunities. Of course the two main events on the calendar are the Christmas markets and Oktoberfest.
