The Stags Have Spoken! The Top Party Spot is...

When it comes to finding the Daddy of all stag do locations, all roads don’t lead to Rome: they lead to… Leeds! Yes, though we started our list of Top Stag Do Cities in a non-competitive way, the stags have spoken and it is lovely Leeds that is the most popular destination for a weekend getaway with the lads.

The Stags Have Spoken! The Top Party Spot is...

With a surprising amount to offer in spite of its compact size, Leeds turns up time and time again on lists of must-go stag do locations and it has a firm place on our list: experience a well-planned weekend in this striking city for yourself, with the expert assistance of Funktion Events, and we think it will soon make your all-time favourite chart, too.

Forget Manchester. Never mind Newcastle. And who can afford London? No, the real party scene is, as always, going on in the smaller towns, creating the music, atmosphere and style that gets filtered down to the mainstream. Leeds and its party-mad population are only just hitting their respective peaks and so now is the time to get up, down or across to there and experience the buzzing, vibrant nightlife for yourself.

Any article about Leeds would be doing that city no justice if it did not mention the famous, indeed notorious, Electric Press. This unique and impressive venue is a palace of the palate, a heaven for the hungry and quite possibly a calamity for the careless. Serving quality food and drink representing pretty much every nation on Earth, from breakfast until supper, the venue is hosted in a Grade II listed building which has been transformed into a modern, stylish hub featuring such outlets as Souvlaki Restaurant, All.Bar.One, Red Chilli and Revolution (with a backwards ‘e’, which your writer cannot figure out how to type!).

Due to its small size, Leeds is easy to traverse on foot and there are loads of reasonably-priced official black cabs for anywhere further you might want to go. The party scene is concentrated around the Call Lane Strip while you can get a proper taste of the city a bit further down in the stylish area around the Corn Exchange. Trendy types will want to head for the new and nifty Northern Quarter and don't forget the Millennium Square and Park Row; a short taxi ride away and well worth the ride.

Activities in Leeds start from just £27.50pp and there are lots of ways to save money and get more out of your Stag Do, such as our Two Activities for £52 Deal and our full packages including one or more activities and 1 or 2 night accommodation in a brand-name city centre hotel.
