Food & Drink
There isn’t much variety when it comes to Munich food no matter where you go there will be a lot of sausage, pork, dumplings and pretzels. To go with them mash potato and squerkraut is traditional though potatoes are usually served in loads of different ways. In between all of your Munich hen activities you will be able to try all of this. There’s loads of finer cuisine dishes out there, but when getting ready for a big night on the town you want the foods that will really soak up the alcohol. Like sausage, pork, dumplings and pretzels.
You could try the ‘dish for filling the gap between meals’ which is simply sausage and bagels. One place we recommend for food and drink is Hofbrauhaus, this restaurant is located on the Platzl and is one of the most well-known restaurants in Munich. As well as being the most famous brewery in the World. Jagermeister is made near Munich and is a lot cheaper than you find it in the UK which makes it perfect for getting you and your hens up and roaring for the long night ahead.
Munich boasts about its nightlife especially because of the many pubs and clubs scattered throughout the whole city. The best known nightlife district is the area around Munchener Freiheit in Schwabing. Hip bars and restaurants are plentiful on the streets going as far as Gartnerplatz, whilst Glockenbachviertel is the main focus of the gay scene and Haidhausen offers a more alternative scene. One well known venue is Schumann’s Bar with a reputation in Munich like Harry’s Bar in Venice, with equally priced drinks. But, Schumann’s Bar is worth a drink at the least just to say you have been. The cocktails here have been famous for over two decades for being impressively rich and delightful.
If you aren’t wanting to splash the cash and would prefer more of a cheap and cheerful atmosphere, then Munich has you covered. With over sixth thousand licensed establishments and over 150 beer gardens, you’re certain to find a place to suit your taste. Not only this but the entertainment in this city is all hours with alcohol at breakfast with the buzzing atmosphere never ending.
The Munich City
Girls you’re going to Munich to celebrate and you’re in the perfect place to do exactly that as this city finds any excuse to celebrate. Whenever you’re visiting this city there’s almost always a festival, of course everyone knows the famous Oktoberfest. This event has been running for more than 180 years and usually runs for just over two weeks between September and October.
It is known as the “World’s largest Folk Festival” and attracts more than 6 million visitors a year. But if you can’t make Oktoberfest then don’t worry the celebrations don’t end there, if your wanting a more authentic Munich experience then try Tollwood festival. This happens in winter and summer and gives you the chance to see various stage shows musicians and sample the cities amazing street food.
