What can we Expect from a Den of Dragons Team Event?

With our Den of Dragons team building experience, everyone taking part will get the chance to bring out their entrepreneurial spirit and creativity! Inspired by the popular TV series, this activity sees participants break off into groups of 4-6 people to develop a product idea or solution to a business problem, going through the stages of planning, researching the market and financing before finally rehearsing and delivering your pitch to potential investors. With medals given out for the group with the best product idea at the end of the day, this activity is perfect for developing key soft skills like creativity, collaboration, teamwork and problem-solving.

Event Format

At the start of your event, everyone will come together in the Dragons Lair where participants will meet the event host and the board of potential investors before being issued with the task brief and rules of the game.

During the event, groups will get to bring out their entrepreneurial spirit and creativity to brainstorm, research and plan their product idea or business solution, which will include other tasks such as working out your budget and finances, before preparing and rehearsing your final pitch.

Towards the end of the day, each group will get to deliver their pitch to the board of investors before the winners are announced and medals are given out for the best product idea or business solution.

How does the event run?

Den of Dragons begins with a short introduction from your activity host and a meet-and-greet with the potential investors before the task brief and rules are explained to the room. Everyone will then split up into smaller groups to begin brainstorming, researching and planning their product idea. Not only will they need to come up with the initial idea, but other factors must also be considered such as budgets, how the product would be marketed and who the target audience is. Towards the end of the day, everyone will get to rehearse and deliver their final pitch before the investors make their decisions.

Is there a host for the Den of Dragons?

Yes, your Den of Dragons team building experience is delivered as a fully managed event, meaning that there will be an activity co-ordinator there to host the day from start to finish.

What equipment is included?

Props and equipment will be provided for each group on the day, giving them a chance to materialise their product idea or business solution that could be used for demonstration purposes during the investors pitch.

The feedback I received was that the event was a success, very fun, engaging and interactive.

The general consensus was that the event was great fun and really tested people's minds
Many said it was the most fun day they had had on an away day with the company.
